About Maileg
Maileg is a Danish design brand of unique and high quality children’s soft toys and accessories. Dorthe and Erik Mailil founded Maileg in 1999 and combined their last name “Mailil” with “leg”, the Danish word for play, to create the name of their beautiful brand. Dorthe’s passion for design started as a child and led her to enrol in the prestigious Danish Design school later on. During her time at the L’ecole D’art de Marseille and Paris, she put the first sketches and designs for Maileg’s toys to paper.
